Man defiles 13 year old girl

Kojo Abeka, a 28- year- old driver was on Thursday remanded in prison custody by a circuit court in Cape Coast for defiling a 13- year- old girl at Assin Andoe in the Central Region.

Abeka pleaded not guilty and was remanded to reappear on Thursday, December 1, 2011.

Prosecuting, DSP Samuel Oduro Kwarteng-Addae, told the court presided over by Mrs. Florence Kai-Otoo, that on October 16 this year, at about 20.00 hours the victim was sent by her grandmother, Madam Alanorna Adwoa to buy kenkey from the lorry station at Assin Andoe.

He said on her way back, the victim met the accused who lured her into his room and forcibly had sex with her after which he gave her one Ghana cedi and threatened that she would die if she disclosed the ordeal to anyone.

The prosecutor said the victim later discovered that blood was flowing from her private part so she informed her grandmother about the incident.

DSP Kwarteng –Addae said  on October 18, a complaint was made to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit  at Assin Fosu, which led to the arrest of Abeka.
