Prosecuting, Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP) Samuel Oduro Kwarteng- Addae told the court presided over by Mrs. Florence Kai Otu that the accused lived in the same village  with the victim at Assin Odurokrom.

He said in May this year, the victim was asked to send food to her father and siblings who were working  on the farm and that on her way home, the accused who was also working on his farm called her to send some maize to his wife.

He said when the victim went, the accused sexually assaulted her after which he allowed her to go.

He said the victim informed her father who in turn reported the matter to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana police service at Assin Fosu and a medical form was issued for her to attend hospital.
