Mining company provides water for communities

Bibiani Noble Gold Mines Limited, a mining company, has provided four communities in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District with standpipes at a total cost of GH¢ 16,400.00.

The communities are Bibiani Old-Town, Hwenapori, Attakrom and Bibiani Zongo.

Mr Brian Dunn, Managing Director of the Mine, inaugurated the facilities at separate ceremonies and said it was part of their corporate social responsibility.

He said the company was determined to do more to help transform the living conditions of the people in the mine’s operation area.

Mr Dunn said the company would create jobs and support the implementation of development projects and for this to happen there was the need for understanding and co-operation between the company and the people.

Mr Anthony Akuako, assembly member for Hwenapori, thanked the mining company for the gesture.
