Christians urged to support the government

The Nankese District of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has celebrated its Silver Jubilee with a call on Christians to support the government to move the nation forward.

Reverend Peter Atta- Adjei, the District Minister, made the call at Nankese in the Suhum Municipality during the church’s 25th Anniversary ceremony.

He urged Christians not to be spectators or apathetic but should augment the government’s efforts to move the nation in the right direction to ensure economic freedom for Ghanaians.

Rev Atta-Adjei said God had blessed the nation with rich mineral resources, adding that, all must eschew greed and selfishness to ensure progress in the country.

He also urged the nation’s leaders to think about the welfare of the people rather than their own parochial gains.

Rev Atta-Adjei said the district would soon establish an Information Communication Technology (ICT) centre to equip the Junior and Senior High School graduates with skills to contribute to the growth of the church.
