Spokesperson for Delali Kwesi Brempong, Mr Benjamin Madugu Avornyotse the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, said the constituents are set to deliver the seat to the NDC.
He said: “We are confident our efforts will yield results and the people of Ayawaso will deliver the seat to the NDC in almost two decades after the failure of our opponents to deliver on their mandates to the people”.
Mr Avornyotse speaking in an interview with the GNA said, their campaign message is resonating well with the people and they would vote massively for security, job creation, sanitation and academic empowerment of the university communities within the constituency, through research investment and students start-ups initiatives.
He said NDC and the candidate are poised for action and are ready to work for the constituents and the people of Ghana when given the mandate.
He said as part of the campaign, the Party and the candidate had been organizing health screening activities for the constituency from Abelenkpe to Dzorwulu, Roman Ridge and its environs.
On the Electoral Register, Mr Avornyotse said they had raised serious issues regarding strange names, which were not in the 2016 register, but have appeared in this current register
Mr Avornyotse, however, said the NDC is prepared to collaborate with the Electoral Commission to resolve the challenges.
Mr Delali Kwesi Brempong, a Pharmacist by profession was elected on December 28 to contest the Ayawaso West Wungon Cnstituency seat after the demise of the sitting Member of Parliament, Mr Emmanuel Kwabena Kyeremanten Agyarko at the Yale University Hospital, United States, after a short illness.
He garnered 415 votes out of the 742 votes cast to beat his other contestants, Selasie Dede Agbo and Ekwaw Acquah, who gathered 115 and 192 votes respectively.
