Rt. Reverend Annancy enthroned Anglican Bishop of Koforidua

The newly enthroned Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Rt. Reverend Felix Odei Annancy has appealed to Christians holding public offices to be guided by Christian values to help reduce corruption in the country.

He said it was important that Christians demonstrated their faith at wherever they find themselves so that people could always see the difference and be motivated to do same.

Rt. Rev. Annancy was preaching his first sermon after his enthronement at the Saint Peter’s Anglican Cathedral in Koforidua.

He said his focus as the new Bishop of Koforidua was to ensure that the diocese prioritize its activities and seek the face of God first in all their activities and with that God would fulfill his promise that anybody who take care of his work, he God would also take care of the work of that fellow and ensure the success of whatever that fellow do.

Bishop Annancy is the third Bishop to be enthroned since the establishment of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church.

Bishop Annancy thanked his two predecessors for the work that they did in building the diocese and assured that he would continue from where they left off to ensure the success of the diocese.

He urged the people to continue to pray for him for God’s guidance and wisdom to be able to provide the required leadership for the success of the diocese.

Professor Daniel Oyinka Safo, Primate of the Anglican Province of West Africa assured the new bishop of the support of the Anglican community.

Ms Comfort Asante, New Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, reminded the people of their pledge to support the new bishop to succeed.

She called on the church to continue to pray for the government to be able to overcome the challenges facing the country.
