Broll Ghana appoints new chief executive

Mr Joseph Amo-Mensah, an Estate Surveyor and Banker with over 19 years of experience, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Broll Ghana Limited.

Mr Amo-Mensah replaces Mr. Kofi Ampong, who retired after 11 years of meritorious service to the Company as Chief Executive. Mr. Ampong however takes up a new role as a Consultant to Broll Ghana.
  
The new boss has previously served in a number of senior management roles at organisations in Ghana and the United Kingdom. 
   
He started his career at Bank of Ghana and exited the Bank as a Senior Estate Officer after over six years of service to further his education in the United Kingdom (UK).
   
While in the UK, Mr. Amo-Mensah worked for two different Investment Finance, Credit and Mortgage Consultancy firms, during which period he qualified as a Certified Mortgage Adviser and Practitioner.
   
Upon his return to Ghana, he joined Guaranty Trust Bank Limited as Group Head, Risk Management.
   
He later Joined Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited as Risk Manager and subsequently held the position of Head, Property and Facilities.

Broll Ghana Limited subsequently engaged his services and seconded him to Accra Mall as the General Manager, after which he left for HFC Realty Ghana Limited.

Mr Amo-Mensah held the position of CEO of HFC Realty Ghana Limited and in addition was an Executive Director of HFC Commercial Complex Limited, until the acquisition of the HFC Bank Group by the Republic Bank of Trinidad and Tobago, which led to his re-assignment as Head of Administration of HFC Bank.

He maintained his role as Executive Director of HFC Realty Ghana Limited and HFC Commercial Complex Limited until his re-appointment as CEO of Broll Ghana Limited.

Announcing the appointment, the Board Chairman of Broll Ghana said: “We welcome Mr. Joseph Amo–Mensah to our fold, knowing that he brings an impressive combination of relevant experience and is well placed to build on the foundation put in place by his predecessor. He is expected to steer us through the competitive challenges and opportunities ahead.”

In his response Mr. Amo-Mensah said: “I am delighted at the opportunity to join Broll Ghana as team leader and look forward to working with my colleagues to help move the organisation to the next level”.

Mr. Amo-Mensah is a member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, UK.

His professional experience covers Property Management, Shopping Mall Management and Brokerage, Facilities Management, Valuation, Project Management, Property Consultancy, Banking, Risk Management, Mortgage and Credit Consultancy.
