Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has been granted license by the government of Ghana to operate a domestic airline.

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who announced this on Wednesday at the opening of the First Aerospace and Aviation Exhibition of West Africa in Accra, said “the airline, Baby Jet Airlines, is expected to commence operations soon.”

He said the vision of government is to make Ghana, the aviation hub of Africa by providing connectivity to the sub-region.

This will be the latest addition to Gyan’s existing businesses, which includes investment in a food manufacturing company, real estate, transport, mining, hospitality, music, boxing promotion, and football administration.

The Baby Jet Airlines Company is expected to begin operations with cargo handling, before expanding to airlift travellers.
