Liberty shoots Hearts down

FootballLiberty Professionals inflicted a lone goal defeat on Hearts of Oak in the 14th week Ghana Premier League gate at the Accra Sports Stadium, on Thursday.

It was the third defeat of the Phobians in the league though the badly needed a win to return to the top of the table.

This was made possible in the 18th minute with a strike from Issah Mohammed Shaibu and this evenetually became the match winner.

The Dansoman based side dominated the game from the blast of referee George Lamptey’s whistle as they stringed their beautiful passes together, as Latif Blessing delivered a through pass to Issah Mohammed Shaibu to shoot past on-rushing goalkeeper, Samuel Akrugu.

Hearts made several efforts to after conceding appeared to have been angered as they piled up the pressure in the quest to find the equaliser through out the rest of the half.

Hearts returned in the second half with two new substitutions, following the introduction of Paul Acquah and Emmanuel Sabahn Laryea but was not enough to secure them the equaliser.
