The CONTRACT: Between Ghana Government and AMERI Energy

Turbine priceThe Ghana government signed a deal with AMERI Energy to supply 10 TM2500+ power turbines to produce 250MW of electricity.

A Norwegian newspaper, Vardens Gang broke the news that Ghana could have bought the 10 turbines for just $220 million dollars instead of $510 million, but the Power Minister, Dr Kwabena Donkor, said in a statement that the $220 million being quoted “is exclusive of all other costs such as auxiliaries, balance of plant, civil works, sub-station, installation of equipment, cost of financing, operation and maintenance etc.”

The Power Minister further said: “Under the agreement with AMERI Energy, the cost of all these auxiliary works is being borne by AMERI Energy.”

The matter has assumed greater public interest, and the citizens want to know.

This is the CONTRACT that sealed the deal.
