The 44-year-old man, known as Adams Darmaig, the report said assaulted five plain-clothes policemen when they went to arrest him on the charge of duping people. The incident occurred at a restaurant, the report said.
According to the report, Darmaig, whose tourist visa had expired, was being looked for by the police on allegations of money doubling.
