Traders commend Volta Regional Minister

Some traders in the Ho Central Market, have commended Mr Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Volta Regional Minister for his “free giving spirit.”

On Monday December 30, 2013, about 30 people in the central business area of Ho went home with a fowl each from a vendor at the expense of Mr Afotey Agbo during a route march with the security services in Ho.

Josephine Ashong, an egg seller said but for the Minister’s gift of fowl, she had no idea how she and her household were going to celebrate the New Year.

The Minister was described by a “koko” seller as a “father” and a “man of God” for his generosity.

Mr Afotey Agbo told the Ghana News Agency that the gesture was to demonstrate love and care to the less privileged.

Many institutions and individuals in the Region have benefitted from similar acts of generosity from Mr Afotey Agbo at public functions in appreciation of their contributions to the development of the Region.

After the route march, Mr Afotey Agbo gave the Security Services GH¢ 1,600 for refreshment and commended them for their efforts at maintaining peace and order in the Region.
