stethoscopeEleven babies were delivered on New Year’s Day at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).

Mr Charles Abubakar, a Nurse, told the GNA on Wednesday in Tamale that the babies, seven girls and four boys, were doing well.

“These babies were all delivered between the hours of 2400 hours and 0600 hours two of babies were born through cesarean operation”, he said.

The Tamale Central and the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) hospitals recorded zero deliveries at the time the GNA visited.

Ms Lydia Kuma, a Midwife at the SDA Hospital, expressed surprise and said it was the first time the hospital recorded zero delivery on New Year Day.
