JHS enrolls 29-year old student

A 29-year-old fashion designer, Miss Dina Mensah, has enrolled at Amma Nipaa Memorial Preparatory/Junior High School and Computer School at Kade in the Kwaebibirem District in the Eastern Region.

Miss Mensah, who completed her basic education eight years ago at the Evangelical Presbyterian Junior High School at Hohoe in the Volta Region, could not further her education due to financial problems and the low grades grade she obtained.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Kade, she said after her basic education she attended a vocational school to study fashion designing and came out successfully as a fully-fledged dressmaker.

Miss Mensah said she had many apprentices but realized something great was missing in her life and that was academic achievement.

She said that compelled her to enroll at JHS three level and that this time she is approaching her studies with dedication, determination and enthusiasm to better her grades to study Home Economics in a tertiary institution to become a nurse in future.

Miss Mensah said she believed her ambition would encourage other female drop-outs to go back to school to pursue academic qualification so they would become assets to their communities.

Mrs Adjoa Nimo, Proprietress of Amma Nipaa Memorial School at Kade, expressed joy and commended Miss Mensah for her resolve to go back to school and appealed to more mature female students to attend Amma Nipaa School and they would all be received with open arms.
