EPA introduces biometric registration device

biometricThe newly appointed Management of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has introduced a biometric registration device to instill discipline in its employees.

Mrs. Angelina Mensah, the Chief Programme Officer in-charge-of Public Affairs, told the GNA in an interview that the device was officially inaugurated at their premises last week.

She said employees’ altitude to work remained embarrassing and unproductive and so management found it prudent and relevant to adopt such a technique to curb the indiscipline among employees.

“The new Chief Executive and the Board were unhappy with employees’ attitude to work and inefficiencies and therefore installed the device to curb indiscipline,” she said.

She said the measure would ensure that staff operated at maximum level to promote efficiency as well as increase productivity as employees’ attitude and behavior were being monitored.

Mrs Mensah expressed her gratitude to the Board for such initiative which would propel the Agency positively to another height.

She said she was optimistic that the agency would achieve a higher status of development.
