Wa Municipal Chief Executive endorsed

voter2Members of the Wa Municipal Assembly on Monday voted 100 percent to confirm Mr. Issahaku Nuhu-Putiaha as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

Mr. Putiaha polled all the 42 votes casts by the Assembly members.

The 36-year-old new appointee was the District Manager of the Nadowli-Kaleo District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme.

Mr. Putiaha thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him and the Assembly members for demonstrating great unity by the overwhelming endorsement.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Ephraim Avea Nsoh and his Deputy, Mr. Abu Kabiebata Kansangbata as well as religious and traditional leaders for their support and wise counsel from the day he was nominated to the day of his confirmation.

Mr. Putiaha said his focus would be on education, health, water and sanitation sectors as well as promotion of income generation ventures for women and called for support and cooperation from Assembly members.

Dr. Nsoh expressed his gratitude to the Assembly members for the overwhelming endorsement of the President’s nominee and urged the remaining Assemblies to emulate the pace set by Wa Municipal Assembly.
