Akuapem North endorses MCE

The Akuapem North Municipal Assembly has endorsed Mr George Opare Addo, the President’s nominee, as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the next four-year term.

Mr Addo, the incumbent MCE, polled 62 votes representing 86.1 per cent out of the 72 valid votes cast in an election supervised by Mr Paul Boateng, Eastern Regional Electoral Officer, at Akropong Akuapem on Friday.

The MCE expressed gratitude to the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work harder utilising the experience he has gained in his first term to move the Municipality forward.
