Paramount chiefs of two traditional areas in the Gomoa West District, have commended President John Dramani Mahama for re-appointing Mr Theophilous Aidoo-Mensah as Chief Executive for the district.

The paramount chiefs are Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea III of Gomoa Akyempim and Obrempon Nyanful Krampah XI of Gomoa-Ajumako.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Ajumako, Obrempon Nyanful Krampah said Mr Aidoo-Mensah deserved the re-appointment because of the numerous development projects his administration had brought to the district.

He said the DCE’s relationship with the two traditional councils and his concern for the education of the children and the health of the people needed commendation.

Obrempon Nyanful Krampah appealed to Mr Aidoo-Mensah to give priority attention to the rehabilitation of the Gomoa-Afranse road when his re-appointment was confirmed by the Assembly.

He urged him to impress upon the road contractors to expedite action in order to complete the project on time.

For his part, Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea said the re-appointment of Mr Aidoo-Mensah had demonstrated that President Mahama was a man of vision.

“He knows what is good for the people and must be given free hand to make his appointment to bring out good people like Mr Aidoo-Mensah to serve the country,” he said.

Obrifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea said Mr Aidoo-Mensah had been nick-named “Action Man” because of the prompt manner he fulfilled his promises.

The Paramount Chief appealed to the assembly members to vote massively to endorse his re-appointment.
