GSMA launches intelligence platform for world mobile industry

Telecoms mastThe GSMA on June 12, 2013 launched an intelligence platform which analyses new data in the world of mobile telephony industry.

The platform which is an online portal will be known as GSMA Intelligence, said the GSMA which represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide.

“It will provide the industry’s most comprehensive set of data points, covering every mobile operator in every country worldwide, alongside market insights produced by a team of experienced industry analysts and experts,” GSMA said in a statement.

The platform comprises several components such as Data & Forecasts, Analysis & Insights, Mobile for Development Intelligence, Documents Library and Real-time Feed.

“This dynamism presents many opportunities and challenges for players across the mobile ecosystem and the GSMA is in a unique position to provide the intelligence and insights that organisations require to drive future growth and innovation. We’re excited to be addressing this key issue with today’s launch of GSMA Intelligence,” said GSMA Director General, Anne Bouverot.

GSMA indicated that the Intelligence platform also offers new ‘free-to-use’ features designed to engage the billions of individual mobile users worldwide.

According to the mobile association, the full commercial subscription offers unrestricted access to all datasets, reports and platform features.
