Dwarfs beats Faisal 3-1

footballDwarfs reaped a goal harvest to beat King Faisal 3-1 in their Week 25 clash at the Robert Mensah Stadium on Wednesday.

The architect of the victory was striker Bright Luqman, who netted a hat-trick.

The hosts took control from the onset and went on to score the opener through Luqman. Richard Gadzie, after collecting a pass from the right flank, rounded two defenders of Faisal but his effort was punched into play by Benjamin Mensah for onrushing Luqman to slot in.

Dwarfs continued to dictate the pace of the game and it came as no surprise when Luqman mounted the tally to 2-0 from a goalmouth action.

The visitors resumed the second half stronger but had to wait till the 77th minute before Anwar Sadat pulled one back.

In the dying minutes, referee Seidu Bomison awarded a penalty to Dwarfs after a hard-pressed Faisal defender handled in the vital area.

Luqman connected home from the spot kick to seal victory.
