Mahama to showcase Ghana’s readiness for business at Times CEO Summit in London

Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has been invited to be the keynote speaker at a two-day Times CEO Summit Africa. This is the third time that the Summit is being held.

Hosted by UK’s Times newspaper, the Summit comes-off in London from April 29 to 30, 2013. It will bring together the Chairpersons and Chief Executives of Africa’s biggest businesses and International Investors.

“President John Dramani Mahama will on Tuesday deliver the keynote address,” Information Minister Mahama Ayariga said in a statement April 27, 2013.

According to the statement, President Mahama’s address will focus on the realities of doing business in Africa; profile Ghana’s readiness for business and the opportunities available for partnership with Ghana’s private sector to expand the infrastructure base of the country.

The summit, which started in 2011, focuses on reframing the debate around Africa and set an agenda for its growth.

President Mahama, the statement said will also use the opportunity of his visit to engage the international press.

The President is expected home on Tuesday April 30, 2013, it added.
