School under treeMrs Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, Minister of State at the Presidency has assured teachers that government would soon rollout a new sandwich programme, to equip them  with requisite technological knowledge.

Mrs Cudjoe Ghansah who is also the Member of Parliament Ada gave the assurance when she addressed the Fourth Quadrennial District Delegates conference of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) at Big Ada.

It was on the theme: “Education in Crisis Teacher safety, implications, for Teacher Deployment and Retention.”

Mr Prince Kwesi Addison, Central Regional Deputy Director of Ghana Education Service (GES) urged teachers to do away with tendencies that would attract the wrath of their local communities.

He advised them not to involve in local politics, chieftaincy, snatching of peoples’ spouses, drunkenness, substance abuse, sexual abuse and immorality of all kind.

Mr Addison said reports about teachers introducing pupils into drugs, alcoholism, sexual immorality, gossip among other vices is becoming too alarming and threatening the noble profession.
