President John Dramani Mahama will leave Ghana to Ivory Coast for an emergency ECOWAS Summit on Mali, his office has said.
The President is expected to leave the country on Friday January 18, 2013 to join his fellow Heads of State for the ECOWAS meeting which will discuss and deliberate on the political situation in Mali.
A statement signed by Presidential Spokesperson, John Abdulai Jinapor, said the Heads of State will also formulate strategies for the speedy restoration of peace and constitutional order in Mali.
President Mahama is expected to return Saturday January 19, 2013, according to the statement.
