Forbes opens nominations for 2012 Africa Person of the Year

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi – 2011 Africa Person of the Year

Forbes has officially opened nominations for its 2012 Africa Person of the Year.

The magazine made the announcement October 9, 2012.

This is the second edition of the awards. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, won the maiden edition for 2011.

According to Forbes, nominations will close on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 and on October 19, “names of the top five nominees will be released on the Facebook page and at www.forbesafrica.com/personoftheyear”.

After, the five shortlisted persons will be voted for. “Voting closes on October 31, 2012,” the magazine said.
