University of Ghana to celebrate Prof Mills’ life in memorial service
The University of Ghana will organise a Memorial Service at the Great Hall in celebration of the life of the Late President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
In a notice signed by the University’s Registrar, Mr. J.M. Budu, the service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 4.00 p.m.
The service is intended to provide the University community and the general public an opportunity to show appreciation for the life and works of Professor Mills, both in the service of the University and in the service of Ghana, the university said on its website.
It will be an inter-denominational service and will be organized by the Chaplaincy Board on behalf of the University community, it added.
The University has therefore invited the general public to the service.
