Members of the Wa West District Assembly on Thursday confirmed President John Atta Mills’ nominee, Mr Dasaana N.S. Adamu as the District Chief Executive.
The 34 year old teacher polled 29 votes, which was more than the two-thirds majority needed to be confirmed out of the 39 member house.
Mr Adamu pledged not to let the President down in the implementation of policies and programmes of government to improve the livelihood of the people.
He noted that the District was among the poorest in the Upper West Region and needed more development projects to catch up with the well endowed ones.
