AfDB to discuss lending policies, other matters with private firms at two business seminars

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is to host two Business Opportunities Seminars (BOS) at its Tunis-headquarters on June 5- 6 and November 13-14, targeted at private sector organisations from the AfDB’s 77 member countries.

The Bank’s objective is to provide a forum relating to its “lending policies, procurement rules, operation cycle, and project pipelines”.

According to the AfDB, the seminars will be a mix of plenary sessions and bilateral meetings.

Participants will become better informed on  how to identify business opportunities in various sectors,  including infrastructure, energy, private sector, water and sanitation, agriculture, and education, it said in a statement.

The BOS are intended to strengthen partnerships between the AfDB and the business sector in both regional and non-regional member countries.
