Environmental Protection Agency confiscates a can of diesel

The Eastern Regional Office of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has confiscated a can of diesel from a woman who was selling the commodity in her house at Kokom-Kwamoso near Adawso.

Mr Felix Addo-Okyireh, the Regional Director of the EPA, expressed worry over the sale saying that it posed danger to her entire household and the general public.

He said the woman was once served with an enforcement letter in Koforidua for further education but did not turn up and it was based on this that the agency decided to go to the area and found that she was still selling highly inflammable products like petrol and diesel.

He appealed to the general public to desist from that practice because the EPA would not spare anyone when caught.
