“The Police Service is not a gold mine. It is a calling and demands a lot of sacrifice, endurance, selfishness and commitment,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police John K Kudalor, Director General in charge of Operations.
DCOP Kudalor said this at a passing out ceremony parade for 141personnel, including 52 women, at the Police Training College at Pwalugu.
He said the passing out of the new service personnel was in recognition of the Police Administration’s determination to provide security for the nation and also aimed at bridging the police/ civilian gap.
Mr Kudalor said as the 2012 election draws near, the Police Administration had a daunting task to protect the country’s democratic credentials by teaming up with other security agencies to ensure peace and stability.
He appealed to police personnel to demonstrate neutrality, treat all persons with respect, civility and stay clear of any partisan inclinations.
Yeboah Vincent Frimpong was adjudged the best and received an award.
