Energy Bank opens third branch in Ghana

Mr Nii Armah Ashietey, Greater Accra Regional Minister on Wednesday reiterated the call on financial institutions to device innovative strategies that would enable them to entice , delight and ultimately retain their valued customers.

The Minister made the call when he performed the official opening of the Tema branch of Energy Bank in the Park View Plaza opposite the Tema Polyclinic.

This brings to three, the number of branches of the bank in the country after Accra and Kumasi branches.

The Regional Minister urged management of the bank to pursue internationally best practices that would help them to cope with the numerous challenges in the banking sector, such as high non- performing loan ratio, and money laundering.

He pledged government’s continued determination to champion and support the principle of job creation growth within an enabling environment for businesses to flourish.

Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, Chairman of Energy Bank said it would focus on the development of indigenous entrepreneurs whose activities he hoped would ultimately contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic growth and prosperity.

Mr Sam Ayininuola, Managing Director of the Bank pledged its support to satisfy customers’ needs assuring that “We are not going to exploit customers”.

Energy Bank started operations in Ghana on February 22, 2010, he said,  adding that among the dignitaries present at the function was Osongaa Nii Adjei Kraku II, the Tema Mantse.
