Ghanaian striker Isaac Boakye’s contract with Norwegian club Valarenga terminated

Former Ghana striker Isaac Boakye’s contract has been terminated by Norwegian club Valarenga FC due to disciplinary reasons, MTNFootball.com reports October 17, 2011.

According to the publication, in June, a Norwegian newspaper reported that Valerenga were unimpressed with former Wolfsburg hitman’s attitude and were considering sacking him.

Boakye signed a one-year deal this year on a free transfer after leaving German side Nurnberg.

Boakye scored four goals in eight matches for Valerenga including a hat-trick he scored in the Norwegian Cup, MTNFootball said.

Isaac Boakye is a former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
