Ghana Police Headquarters

The Police Administration on Tuesday announced that it had re-located the Police Intelligence and Professional Standards (PIPS) from the Police Headquarters to the former offices of the Community Police Unit at Ridge.

A statement signed by the Acting Director of Public Affairs of Ghana Police Service, DSP Cephas Arthur and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said this was to enable the Unit to become more accessible to the public as part of efforts to encourage Police accountability.

It therefore called on members of the public who have any complaints about any personnel of the Service to report to the Unit.

The Police Administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring that personnel performed their duties professionally, devoid of intimidation and abuse of power.

The statement entreated the public to support and co-operate with the Police in the fight against crime by volunteering information pertaining to crime through Crimefighters confidential Hotline on MTN and Vodafone short code 18555.
