Ghana-Nigeria friendly match called-off
The international friendly between the Ghana Black Stars and the Super Eagles of Nigeria has been called off.
An official statement on Watford FC’s website today August 9, 2011 said “Tonight’s international fixture at Vicarage Road between Ghana and Nigeria has been called-off on the advice of the Hertfordshire Constabulary.”
This was due to the ongoing civil unrest happening in the British capital, London.
“We will provide a further update here at watfordfc.com in due course for those who purchased tickets for the fixture,” said Watford whose pitch was to be used for the match.
