British High Commission Ghana introduces online visa appointment schedule system
The Visa Section of the British High Commission in Accra and its Commercial Partner, VFS Global, have introduced an online appointment system for the submission of visa applications and biometrics, officials at the High Commission say.
The appointment system, which will be available for applicants from July 25 this year, will take effect from August 1, 2011.
“Applicants who wish to apply for UK visas will need to book appointments online for the submission of their applications and biometrics at VFS, Labone at the time of making their online application…on completing their online applications, applicants will automatically be routed to an appointment page that will allow them to select a date and time for submission of their documents,” the High Commission said on its website July 20, 2011.
Applicants without appointments will not be granted access into the VFS building and those who miss their appointments will have to go back online and reschedule their appointments, the Commission indicated.
The introduction of the appointment system, it noted “will allow the applicant to control their application process, chose a convenient date and time for submission and reduce waiting time at VFS.”
Applicants can visit the UK Border Agency website for further information on the visa process.

I completed filling out visa application online today. Was just about to book for an appointment, but realized I had not printed a copy of the completed application. Unfortunately the tab did give any indication on the bar where I could give a prompt for printing.
I decided to save the whole application, but I lost everything, and can’t retrieve it even when I provide all the security information.
Should I fill out a new application online, and from where??
Thanks
