Nana Akufo-Addo

The Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Thursday extended his listening campaign tour to Agona East Constituency and interacted with a cross-section of people.

Nana Addo who is on his three-day listening campaign tour in the Central region was welcomed by crowds in the communities he visited.

The communities are Agona Ofoase, Ninta, Seth Okai, Namawura, Agona Duotu and Akwakwaa.

At Duotu, Nana Bukali Boye II, Branhen of the town, on behalf of his people said that the road and electricity projects promised by the ruling government during the 2008 campaign had not yet been fulfilled.

He therefore appealed to Nana Akufo-Addo that if voted as President, he should use his good offices to undertake the projects to improve the lot of the people.

Nana Aguafo Akoto III, Chief of Akwakwaa, said life had become difficult for the people in the area during the past few years and hoped that when Nana Akufo-Addo is voted as President, he would put in place policies to improve their living standards.

Nana Akufo-Addo in his response reaffirmed that the party would not give vain promises to Ghanaians but would work harder to find solutions to the problems they have enumerated to him.

He said the politics of deceit should be thing of the past, adding that he would make sure that Ghana is turned into an industrial country where 70 to 80 percent of the raw materials are processed internally.

Nana Akufo-Addo said he still stands by his promise to make education from Kindergarten to Senior High School free to alleviate the financial burdens on parents.
