Former Liverpool star John Barnes to visit Ghana

Former Liverpool and England international football star, John Barnes would visit Ghana from July 22-30 to support the Retired Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) in their Fund-raising activities.

Barnes is expected in Ghana on Friday, July 22 to begin a week-long sporting exercise in the country.

The former international star will on July 25, 28th and 29, hold a football clinic for children between the ages of 10 and 16, at the El Wak Stadium, Accra.

Barnes will be supported by ex Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah to take participants through basic skills in football and help discover new talents.

The former football star will also pay a courtesy call on the President John Evans Atta Mills and then visit Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region and donate football kits to the community.

Barnes would round up his activities in Ghana with attendance at the Fundraising Dinner Dance at the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra.
