Rocky Dawuni wins Best African Entertainer Award at International Reggae and World Music Awards
Rocky Dawuni, Ghana’s reggae star has shone once more. This time, at the 30th edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards held in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
He won the ‘Best African Entertainer Award’.
Rocky was nominated in two categories; the Best Album/CD and the Best African Entertainer awards. He however, emerged the winner in the Best African Entertainer Award in a tough line-up that had other great African superstars like King Sunny Ade of Nigeria, K’Naan of Somalia, 2Face Idibia of Nigeria and Angelique Kidjo of Benin in contention.
The awards ceremony was held Saturday May 28, 2011.
