Government denies withholding December salaries of GBC staff
The Government on Friday denied that it is withholding December salaries for GBC workers.
An official statement issued from the Information Ministry by the sector Minister, John Tia Akologu, said “checks conducted indicated that there are no arrears either at the Controller General’s Department or at the Finance Ministry”.
The statement appealed to GBC workers to stay calm.
It also urged the Management of GBC to, as a matter of urgency, attend to the workers’ legitimate demands.
