Ghana stocks fall on SG-SSB, EIC losses

Shares in SG-SSB and Enterprise Insurance fell in Friday’s trading to bring down the GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark index of the Ghana Stock Exchange, by 13.53 points to close at 5,613.25 points.

Change for the year therefore closed the session at 0.73 per cent from 0.98 per cent on Thursday.

On the broader market, there were two laggards.

SG-SSB went down GH¢0.03 at GH¢0.45 and EIC lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢2.17.

Shares that changed hands dropped more than twice to 182,240 shares from 405,932 shares.

Market capitalisation closed the session at GH¢15,975.94, down from 15,986.21 million at the previous close.
