Ghana’s inflation falls in July

inflationGhana’s inflation has dropped narrowly to 20.5% in July from 20.74% in June, the Reuters news service has reported quoting a Ghana Statistical Service document it had seen on Friday.

The report indicates that record oil prices and rising food prices pushed up inflation last year and it has remained stubbornly high in the country despite oil trading well below last year’s highs of almost $150 per barrel.

The statistical service is due to officially announce the inflation figure later on Friday, the report added.
