MTN outdoors new code
MTN, a telecommunication service provider, on Thursday launched its new network code – 054 – to complement its existing code.
MTN currently operates on 024 network code, which is nearly fully utilized thus necessitating the addition of a new network code. The Chief Executive Officer of MTN, Brett Goschen, said the introduction of the new code was to give potential customers a chance to enjoy MTN’s services.
He said MTN would soon launch a 3.5G Network to provide high data speed and internet access in addition to numerous and innovative products and services. The company would also increase investment in capital expenditure including building a countrywide fibre network to improve the overall network quality.
“MTN will continue to invest in health and education, our two major focus areas,” he added. Mr George Andah, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, said since the introduction of MTN in Ghana, they had adopted and lived by the Can-Do Spirit, which had led them to extreme heights in the telecommunications industry.
He said they were grateful for the commitment and loyalty of its customers and it was their desire to provide every communication need wanted. “MTN remains committed to continuing investments in network infrastructure to ensure that the network is able to support the expected addition of new subscribers,” he added.
