Toshiba’s CEO, Masaaki Osumi to deliver keynote address at global consumer electronics fair, IFA 2011

The CEO of Toshiba, one of the leading global brands in electronics, Masaaki Osumi will deliver the opening International Keynote address at this year’s IFA 2011.

The IFA is the world’s leading consumer electronics fair scheduled for Berlin in September 2011.

According to a press release issued by the organisers, Messe Berlin and copied to ghanabusinessnews.com, Osumi will discuss Japan’s recovery and new mission: “To build a better life.”

It adds that as part of his address, “The Next Challenge for Japan: A new, symbiotic relationship between the digital home and energy,” Osumi will detail Toshiba’s vision for how the consumer electronics industry can contribute to achieving this new mission.

The keynote event which is known to attract global thinkers in consumer electronics and the home appliances sector, according to Jens Heithecker, Executive Director of IFA will also be graced by Keith McLoughlin, who became president and CEO of Electrolux in January 2011.

The release says McLoughlin will be delivering his first keynote since taking office, and will discuss the ways that consumers increasingly drive change and innovation in the home appliance and consumer electronics industries – and how companies must keep pace, stay relevant, transform and earn brand loyalty as the balance of power tips to the consumer.

The biggest consumer electronics fair in the world will take place from September 2 to 7, 2011.

    I like Japan, very visionary leaders, country and displine in what they do. Ghana and for that matter Africa should learn from Japanese coming together after each disaster as well as been able to stay on top with technology.
