World Food Programme, NADMO sign MOU to strengthen Ghana’s emergency response

The West African office of the World Food Programme (WFP) and the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) of Ghana have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU which was signed at the West Africa Regional Office in Dakar, Senegal July 20, 2011, will strengthen “Ghana’s emergency preparedness and response capacity” to issues relating to disaster.
Mr Kofi Portuphy, Co-ordinator of NADMO and Sheila Sisulu, WFP Deputy Executive Director signed on behalf of their respective organisations.
The announcement of the MOU was made on the official Twitpic page of the WFP.
