State and Church asked to come together and fight indiscipline

Primate Seth K. Adofo, Spiritual Head of the Brotherhood Church, has underlined the need for the State and the Church to come together to fight the growing indiscipline in the society.

He said they should join in the resolve to tackle head-on corrupt practices and crimes including child sex, rape, drugs and cyber fraud.

It should not be lost on anyone that no nation could make progress when its citizens chose the path of lawlessness, he said.

Primate Adofo was speaking at the closing session of the three-day annual delegates’ conference of the church at its South Suntreso Temple in Kumasi.

The conference held under the theme, “Church growth and evangelism”, was attended by over 600 pastors and the laity drawn  from all over the country and branches in Brussels, Togo, Benin, and Cote d’Ivoire.

Primate Adofo said the bad conduct of many of the young people must be a source of worry to all and urged the elderly to become good examples to them.

He appealed to politicians and their followers to be mindful of their utterances as they prepared for the struggle for political power in the 2012 elections.

They must avoid anything that could fuel unnecessary tension and disturb the relative peace Ghanaians were enjoying.

The Spiritual Head urged the delegates to work hard to grow the church and turn people away from evil.

They should step up evangelism and planting of churches particularly in the rural communities to bring salvation to the people.

Primate Adofo also advised them to continually support the nation’s leaders with prayers.
