Cal Bank rewards 100 students

One hundred students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have won various prizes in a draw organised by Cal Bank as part of its 2nd annual promotion programme for students of the University.

The items which was made up of note book computers, pen drives, MP3 players, pens, cups and others was estimated to cost GH¢200,000.

Students who qualified to participate in the programme are those who have at least paid their school fees through the bank or have an account with the bank.

This year’s promotion received about 1000 entries from the students.

Mr John Akoto Inkoom, the Manager of the KNUST branch of the Cal Bank stated that, the draw was to show appreciation to the bank’s loyal student customers.

He said since the inception of the programme two years ago, the bank had seen a greater improvement in students’ participation and therefore, called on the students to open accounts with the bank to benefit from the programme.

Mr Inkoom stated that the bank has recruited 30 students for internship as part of it’s cooperate social responsibility, to enable them get practical experiences.

Some of the winners expressed their gratitude to the bank and urged them to continue to support the Ghanaian economy.
