Government evacuates students in Bawku, Nalerigu and environs

The government has instituted measures to evacuate students from Bawku, Nalerigu and evirons due to the Bawku conflict.

A statement issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications, said while the curfew in Bakwu, Nalerigu and its environs, from 1400 hours to 0600 hours, effective Sunday, July 27, until further notice, was to help enforce peace, it is also intended to create an environment conducive to the evacuation of all students in various educational institutions in affected areas, some of whom have been unfortunately targeted in the conflict.
