Chief of Adomrobe condemns attack on his house by some Police officers

The Chief of Adomrobe, Nana Adin Nsonyameye said he has reported the conduct of some Police personnel at the Oyarifa Police Station to the Divisional Police Command at Aburi in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region.

Nana Nsonyameye alleged that on Monday, April 15, some Police personnel from the Oyarifa Police Station went to his house at Adomrobe with a patrol vehicle.

He said the personnel made away with an amount of GH¢3,500.00, one single barrel gun, a mobile phone valued at GH¢500.00 and arrested his son who was on holidays from school.

Nana Nsonyameye said when he got to his house and heard what has happened, he called the Oyibi Police commander on phone to find out if he had detailed some officers to his house but the commander denied any such assertion.

Nana Nsonyameye told the Ghana News Agency that his family, the Kwaakwa, Siampon and Asekyere families of Adamrobe are litigating over some lands with the Africa Sport Network led by one Police Officer called Prince at Koforidua.

He said the case has been pending in court for the past two years and he is still waiting for a judgement of the court.

Nana Nsonyameye alleged that he suspects that the land dispute was the reason why his house was attacked by the Police.
