Aduana wins 2016/17 league title

Dormaa based Aduana United are the winners of the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League (GPL), despite losing their last league game against Ashgold at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Aduana gathered 57 points from 30 wins and nine draws, with five defeats to win their second league title, since joining the elite league in the 2009/10 season.

They were followed by West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), who had 51 points from 15 wins, six draws and nine defeats, whilst Hearts of Oak gathered 48 points from 13 wins, nine draws and eight defeats.

Ebusua Dwarfs picked the fourth position with 44 points, after 12 wins, eight draws and eight defeats, leaving behind Kumasi Asante Kotoko with 43 points.

Aduana, WAFA, Hearts and Dwarfs have picked the top four slots at the end of the season.
