Uganda introduces online visa application for all visitors

Uganda_visaUganda has joined the few African countries such as Zimbabwe, Kenya, Rwanda and Zambia by starting an online visa processing system for visitors to the country.

According to a Ugandan government communication, all persons intending to come to Uganda for holiday, tourism, business, study, visit and medical purposes are required to apply and obtain a visa online.

The online visa system was activated July 1, 2016 and all categories of visas can be applied for online.

“Through the month of July 2016, it will still be possible to get visas on arrival. However, the traveler will have to go through the electronic application process (at the port of entry. This will only apply in the month of July 2016, after which all visa applications shall be online,” the government communicated.

Ghana recently followed Rwanda by implementing a visa on arrival system for all African Union member countries.

    I see that that online Visa is for nothing. Nothing is goong to change the status of Uganda…
