Chief calls for the establishment of Agriculture College

The newly installed chief of Ajumako Anyinasu, Nana Essiam III, on Friday called on the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly to establish Agriculture College in the area to train the youth in agriculture.

He said a large track of land had been demarcated for investors wishing to go into agriculture and mining in the area.

Nana Essiam III said this when he swore the oath of allegiance to the Omanhene of Ajumako Traditional Area, Okokodrufo Kwamina Hammah Ababio II and some chiefs in the area at his installation ceremony at Ajumako.

Nana Essiam promised to cooperate with chiefs in the area to promote peace.

He called on his people to bury their differences and rallied behind him to work to improve upon living standard of the people.

Nana Essiam said people in the area travelled to Breman Asikuma and Assin Fosu before receiving medical attention and therefore, appealed for the establishment of a health facility in the area.

Okokodrufo Ababio, known in private life as Mr Kobena Obo, 50, succeeded his late uncle, Nana Essiam II who died 22 years age.

Okokodrufo Ababio also called on the people in the Anyinasu area to give peace a chance so as to develop the area.
